A lovely stitch

I think my efforts would have benefitted from a neater edge. I did like this stitch and could see myself using it. 

'Take a small stitch alternately on each side of the shape to filled, with the point of the needle always emerging on the outside of the line of the shape. Two lines may be drawn down the centre of the shape as a guide for the size of the stitch. The stitches should be close together and fold into one another.'

This is a nice stitch.
