My Story

Profile picture of Ngaio Rue Blackwood

Ngaio Blackwood is an Artist living in Napier, Hawkes Bay, New Zealand.

"I do what I do to help others get lost in the beauty of imperfection."

One mark leads to the next.

Life is about embracing imperfection, using paint and stitching my work flows from soft to hard edges incorporating abstraction to blur lines and boundaries. I draw inspiration from the everchanging sky and my environment.

I currently have a piece in the back room of The Rabbit Room Gallery in Napier.
